A Walk Among The Tombstones Synopsis
Based on Lawrence Block's bestselling series of mystery novels, A Walk among the Tombstones stars Liam Neeson as Matt Scudder, an ex-NYPD cop who now works as an unlicensed private investigator operating just outside the law. When Scudder reluctantly agrees to help a heroin trafficker (Dan Stevens) hunt down the men who kidnapped and then brutally murdered his wife, the PI learns that this is not the first time these men have committed this sort of twisted crime...nor will it be the last. Blurring the lines between right and wrong, Scudder races to track the deviants through the backstreets of New York City before they kill again.

Liam Neeson Has Killed Fewer People On Camera Than You Think Liam Neeson Has Killed Fewer People On Camera Than You Think
Ever since he took on the role of ass kicker extraordinaire, Liam Neeson has been labeled as a man that could mow down quite a few baddies in the confines of a feature film. At least, that's what we were lead to believe before the graphic above was released onto the internet this afternoon. For those of you who are hardcore Liam Neeson fans that are convinced of his godly powers of justice, you're going to want to sit down for this one.

Weekend Box Office: The Maze Runner Takes Top Spot Weekend Box Office: The Maze Runner Takes Top Spot
The Maze Runner, based on yet another series of young adult books set in a sci-fi-ish, post-apocolyptic-ish world took first place, but only banked $32 million. That's a modest showing at best, well short of openings like Divergent's $54 million debut in March and the hugely successful Hunger Games franchise and its triple digit bow ins. Still, Maze Runner's $32 million start isn't bad when compared with its equally modest budget of $34 million, making it a viable, if not wildly successful, financial franchise.

D.J. Caruso May Direct A Walk Amoung The Tombstones Adaptation D.J. Caruso May Direct A Walk Amoung The Tombstones Adaptation
Tombstones, published in 1992, was Block’s tenth Scudder story, and featured the former cop tracking the abducted daughter of a heroin kingpin through New York’s Hell’s Kitchen. (I wonder if Marvel Comics’ Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, could cameo?) At one point, a Scudder film was being set up as a vehicle for Harrison Ford, but deals have fallen apart over the years before the latest producing team swooped in.
