Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes Reveals More Mo-Cap Images And Plot Details Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes Reveals More Mo-Cap Images And Plot Details
We’re just four months away from watching the intra-species war between humans and our hairier brethren in Matt Reeves’ Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. This follow-up to Rupert Wyatt’s surprisingly solid remake Rise of the Planet of the Apes is one that both sci-fi and action fans are anxiously awaiting, and Fox know. So how are they ramping up audience expectations? By monkeying around with more set photos that feature the ape actors wearing their motion-capture suits. Not exactly what I’d call badass marketing....

This move could be seen as very good news for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The film isn't going to be out until July, but already the studio is trying to wrap him up for a third movie. This may be a sign that they are very happy with what they have seen from the sequel so far. That said, it's also possible that they are looking to avoid the situation that happened with Wyatt after Rise of the Planet of the Apes....

His legs are bowed, his arms outstretched. His shoulders are back and his chest is a little bit puffed out as he gazes off into the distance, a lush and mountainous backdrop behind him. Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes Trailer Has Caesar Looking Ready For A Fight Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes Trailer Has Caesar Looking Ready For A Fight
The voice in the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes trailer speaks about hope and the determination to persevere and rebuild, but there’s more than a subtle hint of something else being said here, as the tone of the speech sounds like an attempt to motivate people to fight. And behind those words, after a glimpse of chaos, is a slow zoom out of Caesar’s face and behind him, his growing army of apes who are awaiting his command, which he gives just before the screen goes black. ...

James Franco Says He May Not Be Back For Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes James Franco Says He May Not Be Back For Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes
A big part of the reason why Rise of the Planet of the Apes was so successful as a piece of storytelling was that it really knew where to focus the story's attention: directly on Caesar (the intelligent chimp played by Andy Serkis). While James Franco's Will Rodman was certainly an important part of the narrative and put on a great performance of his own, the movie is rightfully and purely Caesar's story, and it's an amazing and compelling one at that....

Based on the ending of Rise, with an airplane carrying a virus across our nation, we can probably expect Dawn to be a fairly violent and apocalyptic sequel. Will humans fight back? We shall see, but it all continues in the summer of 2014. ...
