New Friday The 13th Movie May Finally Explain Why The Hell Jason Is Alive
For 35 years now, the Friday the 13th horror movie franchise has gone through the perfunctory cycle of having masked killer, Jason Voorhees hack and slash his way through a fresh group of sex-starved teens, getting himself killed, only to be inexplicably resurrected for another round. However, according to a producer for the upcoming next rendition of the franchise, we should expect a more in-depth explanation regarding WHY.

Friday The 13th Sequel-Reboot Delayed Until 2015
Friday The 13th was originally set to open in March of 2015. This isn't exactly the best time for a horror movie to try and terrify people, especially one of the most iconic horror heavies of all time. Which means the news that the film has been moved to November 2015 is nothing but advantageous to the second reboot of the long running series.

Michael Bay's Friday The 13th Reboot Looking At V/H/S Director
Friday The 13th is getting rebooted. Again. You can thank (or rage at) Michael Bay, whose Platinum Dunes is resurrecting the slasher franchise for Paramount Pictures. While we've known about this project since last November, the latest development is that Bay and his fellow producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form have nearly wrangled one of the directors of the horror anthology V/H/S to take the film's helm.

New Friday The 13th Movie Coming In 2015
Much like the spotlighted villain at the center of its movies, the Friday the 13th franchise is once again coming back from the dead. Paramount Pictures has announced that they will be releasing a brand new title from the long-running horror series on March 13, 2015.

Friday The 13th May Get The Found Footage Treatment
Of course, this still isn’t set it stone or anything, but the fact that producers are still considering it is noteworthy. It’s possible the recent Blu-ray release has got everyone buzzing with ideas again. Only a handful of the films really did something different with the basic plotline, so it might only be hanging around as the lone alternative to “kids woods camp machete boo scream” as a synopsis.

Warner Bros. Traded Friday The 13th And South Park For A Part Of Christopher Nolan's Insterstellar
While Christopher Nolan, Jason Voorhees and Eric Cartman may seem like three disparate icons of pop culture, they all definitely have at least one thing in common: they’re cash cows. And while Regular Joes like you or me may never have to make a business decisions based around the director or the two fictional characters, Warner Bros. recently did - and they’re remaining firmly in Nolan’s camp.

Friday the 13th Writers Prep New Project At Paramount
Friday the 13th has proven lucky for screenwriting team Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, who grabbed the attention of horror fans in 2003 with their mash-up slasher showdown Freddy vs. Jason. The pair later secured their reputations with another Voorhees offering, the 2009 reboot of Friday the 13th. Both titles were moderately budgeted box office successes, so Paramount, which produced the latter, is giving Shannon and Swift a chance to spawn an original work of terror.

From Grief To Madness: 7 Villains Turned Evil By Loss
While many a movie antagonist’s evil is rooted in greed, jealousy, and/or a need for power, there are some whose stories begin in a much sadder place, with loss being the catalyst to set them on the course for evil. The following characters are as different from one another as the movies they’re featured in are, which is what makes them so interesting. The most notable common denominator among them is their grief.

It was no surprise that Marcus Nispel's Friday The 13th was a disaster. After all, it was a) a remake, b) a mainstream horror film and c) produced by Michael Bay. Despite only making $65 million

The cast of Robert Rodriguez's Predator reboot runs a weird gamut from highbrow-- Adrien Brody-- to lowbrow-- Danny Trejo-- and a lot of room left in the middle-- Topher Grace, good to see you! But chalk one up today for the lowbrow team
