One of the best parts of James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy was the sequence where the titular gang goes to visit The Collector (Benicio Del Toro) and try to sell The Orb. While his role as all too brief, the white haired weirdo is one of the strangest in the film, and left us asking all kinds of questions.

Last week we learned that Chinese audiences aren't too happy with the poorly translated subtitles for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - to the point where it has been said to actually detract from the film. Due to a less than adequate job preparing the movie for its release in China, many have complained that a lot of the jokes and puns don't land because movie-goers don't properly understand the dialogue and situations.

Because some Hollywood movies feature titles with idoms or complicated phrases that won't market well in foreign territories, it's not uncommon for film's names to be changed when reels get sent overseas. This is why Sam Raimi's Army of Darkness was called Captain Supermarket in Japan and Woody Allen's Annie Hall was sold as Urban Neurotic in Germany (which is actually kind of an improvement).

Marvel went from churning out movies about Iron Man and Captain America to trying to making billions off character most of us have never heard of.

How Guardians Of The Galaxy May Have Inspired Fantastic Four To Completely Change Course How Guardians Of The Galaxy May Have Inspired Fantastic Four To Completely Change Course
One of the key reasons why James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy has been able to do so well at the box office is because of the sheer lack of competition that existed in movie theaters this past August. Sure, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles put up a formidable fight in the Marvel movie's second week, but after that point a first, second or maybe even a third screening of the film was seen as preferable for audiences over whatever new stuff was coming out.

Those of us who lived through the '80s and '90s may have nostalgia for cassette tapes, but many of you will also remember that they were a complete pain in the ass. For those that don't remember or weren't alive for the experience, tapes occasionally decided to get completely sucked into the gears and mechanisms of the devices that played them, and unless you caught it quickly, were very careful with it, and were handy with a screwdriver, that tape would be destroyed permanently.
