Of Course Natalie Portman's Jane Got A Gun Has More Behind-The-Scenes Problems
Jane Got a Gun has suffered enough, but it was silly of us to assume the cast and crew were out of the dark times. The Western starring Natalie Portman and directed by Gavin O’Connor was recently dropped by its distributor Relativity Media, which is both a good and bad thing.

Confession: We Secretly Think These 2015 Movies Will Be Terrible
Every year, there are hundreds of movies released that suck from conception to execution to final product. At no point do they have any chance of working. They’re bad ideas, involving bad directors, aimed at stupid people. In short, they’re giant wastes of time.

The Ugly, Crazy And Bitter Jane Got A Gun Lawsuit Just Came To An End
At any given moment in Hollywood, there is a slow motion trainwreck happening. Whether we’re hearing about it publically or not, at this very second a star is angrily refusing to come out of her trailer or a producer is screaming at a director and threatening to pull a movie’s funding.

Ewan McGregor Reunites With Natalie Portman On Jane Got A Gun
After a month of dealing with some very bizarre issues, including the director not showing up for the first day of production and multiple actors dropping out, it finally seems as though Gavin O'Conner's Jane Got A Gun is finally back on track - and it took a Star Wars connection to get it there.

Bradley Cooper Forced To Drop Out Of Natalie Portman's Jane Got A Gun
Cooper was supposed to play the movie's main villain - the leader of a gang who comes to kill Natalie Portman's character's estranged husband(Noah Emmerich). In order to protect herself, she enlists the help of a former lover (Joel Edgerton).

Jane Got A Gun Finally Adds Last Cast Member, Noah Emmerich
Emmerich is a full 16 years older than Portman, though we're willing to look past that-- the Old West was a weird place-- for the sake of a drama that still seems intriguing despite everything. With a cast finally, properly in place, maybe O'Connor can help his film move past all this drama. If what's on screen manages to match what happened behind the scenes, he'll be in the clear

Bradley Cooper Replaces Jude Law In Jane Got A Gun
Cooper was cast in an effort to find someone with Law’s international appeal, and no kidding, they accomplished their goal.

New Jane Got A Gun Details Reveal Lynne Ramsay's Side Of The Story
While very little has been said officially, beyond producer Scott Steindorff claiming to be "shocked and so disappointed," the general tone of reporting has put the blame on Ramsay, for feuding with the producers and then irresponsibly bailing on the shoot without warning anyone. Except… what if she actually quit 48 hours before production was supposed to start on Monday, and all because she still hadn't gotten an approved schedule, script or budget from her producers?

Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal Or Jeff Bridges Could Replace Jude Law In Jane Got A Gun
It's interesting to note that both Gyllenhaal and Maguire starred with Portman in the 2009 drama Brothers, but Bridges seems to be a bit of a wild card in this situation. Isn't he just a tad old to be playing a former lover of a 31 year old? Perhaps they have re-writes in mind.

Jude Law Has Also Abandoned Jane Got A Gun
A lot of movies wind up being less entertaining than the behind-the-scenes drama that went into making them-- which do you remember better,Terminator Salvation or the leaked audio from the set of Christian Bale screaming at the cinematographer? Jane Got A Gun has yet to go into production, but it's hard to imagine the film itself matching the amount of drama that's happened so far-- especially now that the drama has gotten even juicier.

Warrior's Gavin O'Connor Steps In For Absent Lynne Ramsay On Jane Got A Gun
This whole story is incredible. For one thing, it seems pretty unprofessional of Ramsay, after nine months of development on the film, to walk off on the project on such short notice and at such a critical time. It's a move that could have killed the movie's chances of being made. Industry press is struggling to think of a worst first day of production, comparing Ramsay's departure to jilting someone at the altar.

Natalie Portman's Jane Got A Gun Loses Director On First Day Of Shooting
This is a really bizarre story, and as someone who was deeply excited to see what Ramsay was going to do with this concept and cast, I'm at a loss over her abrupt and seemingly unprofessional departure.

Jude Law In, Michael Fassbender Out Of Lynne Ramsay's Jane Got A Gun
Lynne Ramsay’s last film, We Need to Talk About Kevin, was a challenging look at the role that parenthood plays in the midst of a notorious tragedy. For her next film, the oft-delayed Jane Got a Gun, Ramsay looks to expound upon those themes, albeit more with outlaw gangs than infuriating teenagers. Only she’ll be doing it with a slightly different cast than previously reported

300's Rodrigo Santoro Joins Natalie Portman In Jane Got A Gun
Rodrigo Santoro must have enjoyed the taste of the classic western he got acting alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Last Stand, because now he's getting ready to take another stab and the genre with Natalie Portman. The actor has signed on the dotted line and is now a part of the Jane Got A Gun cast, the new movie from director Lynne Ramsey.

Joel Edgerton May Join Natalie Portman And Michael Fassbender In Jane's Got A Gun
As though it weren't enough that director Lynne Ramsey has already hired Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender to star in her upcoming project Jane's Got A Gun, she's also close to bringing in one of the fastest rising stars in Hollywood. Joel Edgerton, who will very soon be seen as one of the soldiers on a mission to find and kill Osama bin Laden in Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty, has entered talks for a part in the action western.

Michael Fassbender Might Join Natalie Portman In Jane Got A Gun
The film is a western that centers on a woman (Portman) who must defend her farm from a violent gang that has already left her husband full of bullet holes and close to death. Should Fassbender sign on, he'd play the protagonist's former lover whom she reluctantly calls upon for help.

Natalie Portman Signs On For Lynne Ramsay Western Jane Got A Gun
From her movie debut in 1994 as the scandalously precocious Mathilda in The Professional, to her jaw-dropping performance as exotic dancer Alice in 2004's Closer, to her Academy Award-winning turn as a self-destructive ballerina in Black Swan, Natalie Portman has never been one to shy away from a daring role. And it seems motherhood hasn't tempered her risk-taking.
