Madagascar Director Tom McGrath Tapped To Helm Ben Stiller's RentaGhost
In the film, Stiller would play a recently-deceased man who rents spirits to the living from his position in the afterworld. Night at the Museum scribes Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant will tackle the script, which is adapted from a BBC childrens' comedy series from the late 1970s and early ‘80s.

DreamWorks Animation Confirms Kung Fu Panda 3, Penguins Of Madagascar Movie
Bill Damaschke estimated that DreamWorks has 10 movies in production, with an additional eight or nine in advanced pre-production. The biggest has to be Kung Fu Panda 3, which Damaschke reluctantly confirmed during the Q-and-A portion of the presentation.

Madagascar Penguin Spin-Off Movie Gets Bee Movie Co-Director
Given the ridiculous popularity of the Madagascar penguins, I'm amazed this hasn't happened sooner. Madagascar 3 is in development for next summer, but I'm amazed that they didn't just skip it and move forward with this project instead. Unless something unbelievably terrible happens, Dreamworks Animation stands to make a lot of money from this movie.
