Star Wars Episode VII will take place after the events of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, continuing the adventures of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Leia Organa. This new Star Wars sequel will pick up many years after we last saw these characters, though just exactly how long after remains to be seen. R2D2 and C3PO are also confirmed to be in the cast.
