Star Wars 7 Just Added The One Thing J.J. Abrams Always Needs
Similar to how you will regularly hear John Ratzenberger's voice in a Pixar movie or find a Stan Lee cameo in a Marvel Comics-based film, writer/director J.J. Abrams isn't a big fan of working on movies or television shows without the inclusion of his own little good luck charm actor. Fortunately, the director was able to bring him along for Star Wars: Episode VII

Star Wars' C-3PO Demanded These 2 Things From J.J. Abrams Before Signing His Contract
Just like Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, actor Anthony Daniels is an incredibly important part of the Star Wars legacy. He's just slightly handicapped by the fact that you can't see his face under the C-3PO helmet. He and Kenny Baker, the man inside R2-D2, are the only actors to be part of every single film, so when Star Wars: Episode VII started to move into active development, it made perfect sense that they would return.

Star Wars 7's Villain Is Probably An Evil X-Wing Pilot, Here's Why

One Of Star Wars' Most Important Characters May Look Like This In Episode 7
When most of the cast for Star Wars: Episode VII was announced this past spring, it included a number of names that aren't exactly household yet - like Adam Driver and John Boyega - but at the same time those actors are well known by fans who closely follow the film world. The same, however, could not really be said about actress Daisy Ridley.

Star Wars: Episode VII Photos Show Off An Awesome New Ship
Everyone wants to pilot an X-Wing, and I know it's pretty cliché to say this, given how often it’s said in movies these days, but I’d take mine in black. Lo and behold, J.J. Abrams is already on top of that, and we now have our first look at this brand new addition to the Star Wars vehicle collection.

That said, we've only really seen the tiniest little details so far - but now we have a brand new photo that completely changes that game.

Why The New Star Wars Movies Will Be Better With Less CGI
One of the sharpest criticisms levied against George Lucas' Star Wars prequels was focused on the writer/director's abandonment of practical effects and puppetry in favor of CGI - which was quite a good deal less advanced than it is today. Fortunately, that's not the direction that the new trilogy of films will be looking in.

Star Wars: Episode VII Goes Back To Work Later This Month
Back in June, Star Wars: Episode VII filming was derailed slightly due to the on-set injury that took Harrison Ford out of commission. The production was forced to work around Han Solo's scenes, and they spent a couple days at the end of July in Ireland with Mark Hamill, but there was also a two week hiatus scheduled while Ford healed. Thankfully, that's coming to an end.

Harrison Ford Is Back Up On His Feet Following His Star Wars: Episode VII Injury
It was all the way back in the first half of June when Harrison Ford had a bit of an accident on-board the Millennium Falcon while shooting Star Wars: Episode VII. Thanks to a malfunctioning hydraulic door, the legendary actor broke his foot, and reports said that he would possibly be off his feet for as many as eight weeks. This was very obviously bad news for the cast and crew of the upcoming sci-fi epic - but the good news is that Ford is now on the mend.

Apparently she's an Imperial Officer after Boyega's deserter, a former stormtrooper. But what the scooper claims is most interesting is that Christie has been training with an actual lightsaber. Which, if true, is an incredible feat of science, because lightsabers aren't real. But maybe she's just preparing anyway.

Real Star Wars nerds are likely very familiar with the term "Mandalorian." After all, it was Mandalorian armor that made both Jango Fett and his clone Boba Fett look like a total badass.
