The Razzies: These Are The Worst Movies Of 2014
2014 was a great year for movies. It’s when we got Richard Linklater’s Oscar-headed Boyhood, such great indie fair as Only Lovers Left Alive and Whiplash, and powerful performances all around. This Supercut Of Fake Movie Ads Is Pure Greatness
Product placement has become an unfortunately big part of modern studio filmmaking, but there are some ads in movies that we can still appreciate: the fake ones. Rather than actually trying to tell us something, they merely exist as a fun gag or even sometimes as a plot device. And now you can see a whole bunch of them mashed together in this fantastic new supercut.

4DX puts customers right into the middle of the action in their favorite flicks through the use of a technology that utilizes seat movement and sensory effects inside the auditorium, which are synched to the action onscreen. America’s first theater utilizing the tech opened this past June, and early results show it’s a huge hit with patrons.

Transformers 4 Is The First Film To Make $1 Billion In 2014
On the whole, this has not been a great summer for Hollywood. As we reported last month, box office profits across the board are down 20% compared to what they were in 2013. That being said, the season hasn't been completely without its bright spots.
by Eric Eisenberg August 3, 2014 comments
Here's Why Hollywood's In A Record-Setting Box Office Slump
The summer movie season “is expected to finish down 15 to 20 percent compared with 2013, the worst year-over-year decline in three decades, and revenue will struggle to crack $4 billion, which hasn't happened in eight years.”

Transformers: Age Of Extinction Is The Highest-Grossing Movie Of The Year
So what else is left this summer to surpass a billion? Most are dubious it will happen again. Unless it has crazy legs, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes could likely finish anywhere between $500 and $700 million. Beyond that, the industry has high expectations for Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy, but so far Iron Man is the only Marvel character to break a billion solo.

Did Transformers 4 Actually Make $100 Million Or Is Paramount Lying?
Hey, remember when Michael Bay gave the Transformers franchise a facelift, and the fourth installment opened to a jaw-dropping $100 million during its first weekend? Probably. Weekend Box Office: Transformers: Age Of Extinction Lands Biggest Opening Of 2014 So Far
There was only one new entry into the summer fray this weekend, and without much surprise Transformers: Age of Extinction was not only panned by critics, it was number one. Estimates have the movie standing at exactly $100 million, a dubious number that probably means that Paramount's probably hoping for the best, but when the actual numbers roll in it probably won't quite be that high. Just the same it's the highest opening of the year so far in a year where opening weekends for blockbuster movies aren't as impressive as they've been in the recent past.

Transformers: Age Of Extinction Could Be Year's First $100 Million Weekend

Transformers: Age Of Extinction Trailer Brings New Footage, Promises Big Action
The Autobots are humanity's sworn protectors against the Decepticon threat, despite the fact that they've continued to get a bum wrap from humanity. Kept in secret until the Battle of Chicago, the existence of Transformers is now public, and intimidating knowledge. Members of our own governments are trying to defeat them at any cost, and if this new trailer for Transformers: Age Of Extinction is any indication, Stanley Tucci's Joshua might be one of the key architects to their demise.

Michael Bay's Transformers: Age Of Extinction To Host A World Premiere Concert On June 19th
While the 1990's were THE era of the film driven single/soundtrack, the practice has kept itself alive in the niche of teen driven franchises. Outside of that domain, Michael Bay is one of the remaining purveyors of the music tie in, and he excels by keeping up with modern musical tastes. So naturally, he replaced previous partner Linkin Park with a fresh band that's sitting on top of the world: Imagine Dragons. The result of this pairing is more epic than you could dream of.

Transformers: Age of Extinction is a pretty awesome title for a movie, as it promises a lot in just four small words.
