I’ve been pretty critical toward Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez for awhile now. He cheated on his wife, continually failed in the playoffs, and had his agent announce his opting out of a contract during the eighth inning of The World Series. But things have been turning around lately. He spent Thanksgiving with his kids and now he’s ditched out on the Kabbalah classes Madonna was making him go to.
Here’s the thing about Kabbalah: it’s fucking idiotic, new age bullshit hippy psychobabble for hapless buffoons unable to deal with their own lives. If you don’t believe me, read the nonsensical ball of mysticism known as the Zohar. If balderdash and poppycock had a baby, it wouldn’t be half as chock-full of moonshine rubbish as that how-to guide for rubes.
According to MSNBC, A-Rod was photographed with Kabbalah spiritual leader Eitan Yardeni recently but cancelled all of his private classes. Good. No woman in the world is worth exposing yourself to this self-help sodomy.

Well, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, as they say. Actually, Madonna and the Bergs represent a cult called "Kabbalah Centre," which has purloined and adulterated Jewish mysticism for profit. The "Kabbalah Centre" is to real, Hasidic Kabbalah as a Tampax commercial is to Ben Hur.
Now I realize you know nothing about the Zohar or other extra-Biblical Jewish works, or you would likely have a different view.
The Zohar is very Jewish mystical commentary on the very Jewish Torah, the first five books of the Tanakh, or Old Testament. I can clearly see that you are upset at the bastardization of religion that you rightly see in the "Kabbalah Centre." To extend that to the Zohar, with full knowledge of its content and its high regard by many Jews, especially Hasids, ventures terribly close to that moonshine rubbish known as "anti-Semitism."
But, I know that's not your intent. Cults are crap. This one is clever, though, in that they didn't waste time writing their own scripture. They ripped it off.
Just thought I'd point out that there could be some collateral damage to this rant. Try this for starters: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zohar. If you still want to learn more, the Pritzker edition is the best English translation. I wouldn't entirely trust the version sold by the "Kabbalah Centre" either.
