Pay no heed to the numerous stories written about Alex Rodriguez spending Thanksgiving with Madonna instead of his children. He kicked it with Madonna last night but not before swinging by soon-to-be ex-wife Cynthia’s Miami mansion to have a little lunch with Natasha and Ella. Good. I was highly critical of the Yankee third baseman in abandoning his kids during the holidays, but it seems A-Rod has some compassion and decency left in him.
According to The New York Daily News, A-Rod also squeezed in a brunch with Madonna manager and personal friend Guy Oseary. Thankfully, gas prices have fallen significantly. I’m not sure Rodriguez’s twenty-seven million dollar a year contract would have afforded him enough money to gallivant about Southern Florida if he was still forced to pay four dollars a gallon.
No word on what anyone involved in this story chowed down on for Thanksgiving, but I hope someone had the foresight to make some damn rolls. My idiot family elected to make biscuits this year which tasted liked a starch explosion.
