Auburn-haired hottie Amy Adams has gotten engaged to her boyfriend of six years, struggling actor Darren Le Gallo. The two met in acting classes way back in the day. He reportedly wooed her with a beautiful diamond from famed Beverly Hills jeweler Jean Dousset, and well, she said yes. How cute.

According to USA Today, the two plan to exchange vows sometime next year but have yet to announce a hard-and-fast date. Speaking about her boyfriend, the Enchanted star told America’s paper, “It’s really important to have someone to remind you who you are.” Yeah, that’s probably a quality up there on the things to look for list.

Note to young Hollywood: this is how you’re supposed to get engaged. Date someone for a long period of time (see years) and get married on your own timetable. Don’t force yourself into a shotgun wedding because you forgot to take your birth control for a few days.
