Sheryl Crow and Nelly have been named unofficial motivators of the USA Olympics team.
The odd couple is among the list of artists who have recorded exclusive tracks for the upcoming AT&T Team USA Soundtrack, which will be used as a motivational tool for Olympians in Beijing, China.
All proceeds from soundtrack sales will benefit Team USA. Crow says, "It's my job as an artist to encourage others through music, and I'm honoured to work to support Team USA through this soundtrack."
And one guy who'll be listening to the album as he prepares to do battle in China's swimming pools is water champion Michael Phelps. He says, "I know this soundtrack is something we will all be able to enjoy while we're in Beijing and will help motivate us to compete at our very best."
The Olympic Games begin on 8 August (08). (KL/RS/LJ)
