Californication star and recovering sex addict David Duchovny has put the kibosh on his lawsuit against The Daily Mail. The actor was upset over a story which accused him of cheating on his wife, actress Tea Leoni, with a local tennis pro named Edit Pakay. Duchovny and his beautiful wife are currently separated.
No statements have been issued nor reasons for the sudden litigation halt, but NBC Los Angeles is reporting the suit was squashed with prejudice, meaning it can not be resumed at any point.
Earlier this season on Californication, David Duchovny’s character, the always candid Hank Moody, was arrested for Drunk Driving and laughed as his daughter showed him his mugshot plastered online. I guess it’s not as humorous if marriages are on the line.

The Daily Mail published a retraction and an apology to the Duchovny family. That is why the suite was dropped.
