Gloria Estefan is treating 2,000 laid-off workers in Puerto Rico to free tickets to her concert at the weekend (10/11Oct09).
The Latina legend bought up the passes after learning of the plight of 17,000 government workers who will be out of a job in November (09) due to the U.S. territory's huge deficit.
The tickets - which usually sell for $40 each - will be raffled off within the government agencies affected by the cuts. Estefan is set to play for more than 18,000 fans at Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum gig on Saturday (10Oct09). (MJ/WNWA/ZN)
