Jennifer Lawrence walked the Academy Awards red carpet last weekend prior to her big Oscar win, and during one of her interviews, she was shown the brand new advertising campaign for Dior. Lawrence had met with a photographer and taken all the pictures, but until that moment, she hadn’t been shown the final product. Hilariously, she reacted with complete amusement, commenting on the fact that she was Photoshopped and even saying real women don’t look like she does in the pictures.

Over the past few years, debates have raged about whether or not it’s appropriate for magazines and marketing campaigns to Photoshop or airbrush the stars they feature. Some think there’s nothing wrong with making a few minor touchups and ensuring the photograph taken is as flawless and beautiful is possible. Others, however, think Photoshopping sets a standard for real women that they can’t possibly live up to and is ultimately counterproductive for society as a whole.

Lawrence clearly has no problem with the magicians using Photoshop on her print campaign. What do you think?
