It’s been a rough week for Britney Spears and family after youngest son Jayden, still just a terrible two, was hit with an allergic reaction on Sunday night. The toddler was rushed to a Mississippi emergency room and forced to remain overnight. Thankfully, the little guy was released the next morning and seems to have bounced back nicely. Food mishaps and culinary mistakes like this happen all the time--even to protective and loving parents--but unfortunately for Britney Spears, this little snafu took place on her first approved visit out of California with her two sons.
Thankfully for the former it girl, her ex-husband and father of her children Kevin Federline doesn’t seem to be planning on seeking a hearing. According to E! Online, K-Fed’s attorney Mark Kaplan issued a statement saying, “"We're pleased that someone was aware enough to see that he was having some sort of reaction and do what was necessary to make sure there were no chances taken and got Jayden to the appropriate facility and got the appropriate evaluation to be timely." Laughably bad grammar aside, I think this non action was the right way to handle it for all involved. Even the best mothers unintentionally mess up on occasion, and after Jayden's health started rapidly deteriorating, Brit Brit seems to have acted lovingly and dare-I-say intelligently.
Here’s to hoping K-Fed doesn’t reconsider and embark on another long, emotionally devastating legal battle.
