Just a few days after Carlos Sastre claimed the 2008 Tour de France, six-time winner Lance Armstrong split with Miss Penny Lane Kate Hudson. The often-discussed three month romance took flight in May but grounded earlier this week. No specific reason was given for the break-up, but I suspect his time trails may not have been up to snuff. Hey-0!

According to US Magazine, a source close to the situation said, "There was no drama or ugliness – They just decided to end things. There is no hatred, just sadness." No word on whether this will spur on a Hudson reunion with either Owen Wilson or former husband Chris Robinson or an Armstrong reunion with Sheryl Crow or his ex-wife. I hope so. Then again new Hollywood hook-ups are always a good time too, regardless of what the children might say.
