Palin To Appear On SNL?

By Mack Rawden: 2008-10-06 18:05:11
Palin To Appear On SNL? Don’t you just love it when satirized politicians decide to satirize the entertains who originally satirized them? Well, I do because it’s called checks and balances and if you ever opened your goddamn twelfth grade US government book, you might know that too.

According to Bill Zwecker Of The Chicago Sun-Times, Alaskan governor Sarah Palin is seriously considering appearing on NBC’s Saturday Night Live to take part in a sketch where she would play 30 Rock star Tina Fey. As most of you have probably seen, Fey has been doing a lights out impersonation of Palin, which many have called the funniest late night impression since Will Ferrell’s George W. Bush.

Everything is still in limbo at this point, but early reports say Palin may do a spoof of Tina Fey’s American Express commercials starring Academy Award-winning director Martin Scorsese. Here’s to hoping the time share in Boca is still available and this hilarity-in-the-making gets a move on.

So, art imitates life imitating art imitating...

What a hall of mirrors, goshdarnitall.

What would be really funny would be to have both Tina Fey and Sarah Palin appear in the same red swimsuit Sarah wore for the Miss Alaska competition in 1984 (as Sarah Heath). Checkout the youtube video on that one.

According to the youtube video, Sarah in 1984 wanted to be a tv journalist, and was involved in basketball, politics and a whole lot of other hobbies.

Lily Tomlin once said (as a homeless person, in "The Search for Intelligent Signs in the Universe"): "I always wanted to be someone; now I realize I should have been more specific.

Hey, Sarah, you are a media darling. Hope that Hollywood will have you when you and your aging running mate get trounced on November 4th.

  1. Phil Miller Says:

Sure hope she goes on SNL. That would bring more publicity to her and her running mate whose name escape me at the moment. As for the statement that Sarah is a media darling, you have to be hopelessly stupid to make such asinine statement when the media has been attacking her nonstop since her announcement as vp candidate. The media darling right now is Obama bin Biden who has been given a pass on nearly every single issue which has basically stolen the nomination from Hillary Clinton. Obama is an empty suit with false promises and no accomplishments to speak of other than community organizer which now we know means litigating for and training members of ACORN which has been one of the root causes for the housing crisis and the largest financial meltdown in American history.
