I’ve been hearing little whispers from little birdies about a little bun in Mariah Carey’s oven for a few weeks now. Apparently, affable talk show host Ellen Degeneres has been scanning the same frequencies. During an interview segment with Mariah Carey, DeGeneres asked the singer pointedly if she was pregnant. Carey dodged the question before Ellen pushed further, offering her champagne, which Mariah turned down through an ever changing series of lame excuses. Elementary, my dear Watson.

According to E! Online, the most overrated singer of all-time called Ellen’s pressing of the issue “peer pressure” and ultimately, refused to reveal anything about anything. Let’s be honest: with any other pop star, I would immediately and absolutely pen a story about the pregnancy as a fact because no one without child ever refuses to deny pregnancy rumors. But Mariah---well, Mariah has proven time and time again how bat shit crazy she really is. Remember when she stripped on TRL? And don’t even get me started on Glitter.

So, to sum up, Mariah Carey is either pregnant or losing her mental faculties again. It’s fifty-fifty, really.
