Always a good candidate to ruin lives, Valerie Plame outer Robert Novak ran over an elderly man with his car and just took off. The pundit’s black Corvette was followed by a few Good Samaritans who began continually honking until Novak pulled over. Police showed up a short time later, and he was cited for failing to yield, though luckily for him, not arrested. I highly doubt the conservative commentator would survive long in jail.
According to TMZ, Novak has a long history of hating pedestrians, even submitting a few quotes to the Washington Post back in the day about wishing he could do more than yell at ‘em. You’ve gotta love it when decade old quotes show up to stick it up their author’s asses.
The elderly man, described as being in his sixties, was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
