Funnyman Robin Williams has recovered from heart surgery - insisting he's 'energized' and ready to make his stand-up comedy comeback later this year (09).
The comedian had a heart valve replaced in March (09) after falling ill on his Weapons of Self-Destruction tour. He was apprehensive about his return to the stage after performing a 20-minute slot in June (09) that left the overeager comic exhausted.
But now Williams is adamant the hiatus was an unexpected blessing - because doctors were able to salvage his heart by giving him the valve of a healthy bovine. He says, "This little break has given me more energy than ever. Plus, it's wonderful to have a cow valve. If you don't mind the grazing, it's quite invigorating."
Williams is set to make his full comeback on 18 November (09). (JMA/NYDN/ZN)
