Looks like there’s more problems in the Panettiere family, beyond just daughter Hayden’s excessive partying. Father Alan was arrested early this morning, around three A.M., on charges of allegedly striking his wife. Fifty-two year old Lesley showed visible signs of injury, and in accordance with West Hollywood laws, Alan was charged with the more serious felony count.

According to TMZ, Alan Panettiere was reportedly enraged by his wife spending time with another man during a charity event at Eva Longoria’s restaurant, Beso. Lesley reportedly refused medical assistance after calling the police and has yet to issue a statement on the incident.

Getting pissed about your wife flirting with another man is one thing, but striking her under any circumstances is a totally different story. Wake the fuck up, Alan. Someone needs to remind him what happened to Carlo Rizzi after he beat up Connie Corleone in Mario Puzo’s novel The Godfather.
