Signourney Weaver Scared Of Plastic Surgery Plastic surgery is all the rage in Hollywood. Witness Joan Rivers. If her skin were pulled any tighter back on her face her skull would be showing. You can already tell she has to struggle just to blink her eyes. But not everyone is bent on trying with such futility to fight aging process. Some, like Sigourney Weaver, are embracing their age and the facial sagging that somes with it.

In a recent interview with More magazine, Weaver said "I think people look blanker when they're young. They're more interesting when they're older." That might be an unexpected statement from someone in their twenties, but from someone about to turn 57, that sounds a bit like rationalizing getting old.

"Look at Keith Richards," she contintued, He's a mass of lines, but he's gorgeous because he is who he is." Yup. Definitely in denial. Oh well, at least she's acknowleding the importance of inner beauty. Now if only there were some way she could communicate that to the twenty-one year olds in her industry all racing to trim their noses and blow up their boobs (no, Ashlee, I'm not talking about anyone in particular).

But is Sigourney really such a purist? Even David Hasselhoff admitted to a little bit of Botox. "The idea of voluntarily getting injections near my eyes is so frightening." I guess for some it's not as scary as the thought of lines around your eyes. Either way, I guess it just makes you a sissy. At least Sigourney gets the higher ground for sticking with the face God gave her.
