Actor Patrick Stewart hated his costume in sci-fi TV series Star Trek: The
Next Generation because it was so tight, it damaged his back.
The star, who played Captain Jean Luc Picard in the show, reveals the iconic
lycra suit was so painful to wear, his chiropractor encouraged him to take
legal action against the studio for forcing him to sport the outfit, which was
one size too small for him.
He says, "I came to loathe the costume. We actually got rid of it after the
second season thanks to my chiropractor, who said, 'If they don't take you out
of that costume we are going to slap a lawsuit on Paramount for the lasting
damage done to your spine."
"The producers wanted to have a smooth, unwrinkled look. It put a terrible
amount of strain on the shoulders, neck and back." (JC/WNTEX/LR)

Saw a blurb to your article over at http://infoaddict.com. I can't believe that just having a costume one size too small could cause such drastic injuries. I mean come on, it was Lycra.
