Just a few months after losing his beloved son Sage Moonblood, Sylvester Stallone is dealing with another close family member death. The actor’s younger half-sister, Toni-Ann Filiti, reportedly passed away on Sunday evening from lung cancer. She was just forty-eight.

According to Radar Online, Toni-Ann fought the disease as best as she could, but after her fate became clear, she decided to check out of the intensive care unit and spend what time she had left with her family. Mother Jackie Stallone reportedly opened up her home a few days ago, and that’s where her daughter passed.

Given the circumstances surrounding Toni-Ann’s passing, it’s likely everyone close to her was prepared for the end, but still, that doesn’t make her absence any less sad or troubling. By all accounts, she was a wonderful woman.

Pop Blend’s sincerest thoughts go out to Toni-Ann’s entire family including Sylvester. The loss of a loved one is always hard to deal with, but the loss of two in a short amount of time is something no one should be forced to go through. According to The New York Daily News, Sly told his mother he couldn’t take any more pain upon hearing the news. Here’s to hoping there’s nothing but positivity in the family for the next few years.
