As a child, there are few activities more entertaining than raking leaves into a pile and jumping into them. As an adult, there are apparently few activities more entertaining than raking leaves into a pile and jumping into them. At least that’s what the cast of Bangakang proved earlier this year when they rented a truck, filled it with 1,300 bags of leaves, dumped the contents into a giant pile and repeatedly jumped off a roof onto the monstrosity.

The entire ordeal, from renting the truck to doing celebratory backflips off the roof was filmed, edited together and put online earlier this week, and not surprisingly, the footage has been racing around the Internet. Take a look at the greatness below…

This giant leaves pile is seventeen feet tall and sixty feet around; yet, every time I watch that clip, I feel like they’re going to jump too far and miss the monstrosity entirely. I think that’s a sign that I’m getting too old. I don’t remember ever being concerned with people breaking their necks when I was a kid.

Regardless, I can appreciate the effort and the level of crazy that went into conceiving this idea, following through and making it happen. Congratulations to everyone involved. I hope the afternoon was as nostalgic and entertaining as it looked.
