You know what celebrity couple I miss? Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. Those modern day Sid & Nancy’s could turn any respectable discussion into a slobber knocker of urban slang, oozing egos, and hate speech. Not enough people speak their minds now-a-days. Celebs always hide behind PR people or publicists. Not Whitney and Bobby. They never worried about flushing their career away through foolhardy anti-establishment statements or unrelenting crack addictions. I had been cautiously optimistic about a possible rekindling of the romance ever since rumors started hitting the web about a romantic dinner earlier this week, but that beauty salon gossip seems to be just that.
According to E! Online, a spokeswoman for Whitney has called the reconnection a “complete fabrication.” Can you really semi-fabricate something? And can you ever just be whelmed? My spell check says yes. Maybe just in Europe.
As with any story about Whitney Houston, I’ve decided to embed the greatest reality television moment ever. Watch and enjoy. I know The Soup host Joel McHale would. He played this damn clip for about six months…

Can we just refrain and not rehash bad moments? Yes she went through something horrible. Yes her husband sold her out and let the whole world witness her downfall even though she stood by him for fourteen years and defended him when he was wrong. There are so few African American role models that it is all the more sad about the road Whitney took. But to wish for that for the sake of entertainment is just not right. Stop playing that stupid video and remind the world why she became a superstar in the first place. Play the Superbowl performance or one of her videos. Be a better and bigger person/entity. What is wrong with that?
