Hard-man actor Ray Winstone has branded his role in new movie Beowulf the most
gruelling of his career.
The 50-year-old star, who plays the eponymous hero in the CGI adventure, even
broke bones while shooting the epic tale.
He says, "It was the most physical job I have done in my life. I was on
wires, running up walls and spinning. You are tearing up a metal frame, which
represents the dragon or pounding a stuntman. I would go home every night and
relax in a hot bath of Radox.
"I broke two or three ribs. I thought I was Errol Flynn. I swung in to get
the dragon's heart and it was like, 'tally-ho, chaps' and I went crash, right
into a metal bar." (JC/WNTSU/LR)
