Lincoln Lawyer To Give Opening Blu-Ray Argument In July

A lot of people read Michael Connelly’s book, The Lincoln Lawyer, when it came out in 2005. Unfortunately, too few of those people showed up to see the film adaptation of the book. Which is a shame, because Brad Furman’s The Lincoln Lawyer was a pretty good time. If you haven’t looked into the film, you can check out Katey’s review right here.

If you are willing to just delve in blindly, The Lincoln Lawyer will hit DVD, Blu-ray, digital download, and On Demand on July 12th. After the movie underperformed at the box office, the disc's extras are going to be as sparse as a Spartan hillside. Both the DVD and Blu-ray versions will include deleted scenes, as well as three featurettes. Blu-ray copies will be priced at $39.99 and DVD copies will run for $29.95.

If you haven’t found a reason to see Brad Furman’s The Lincoln Lawyer, it features a large ensemble cast that is great to keep in your back pocket for actor/actress trivia games. The film features beautiful southern boys Matthew McConaughey and Josh Lucas squaring off in a courtroom, plus a slew of gems as side characters. Ryan Phillippe is great, though not the headliner, as usual. Marisa Tomei is beautiful, broken, and gorgeous, and William H. Macy and Laurence Mason are greatly underused in bit parts. By my calculations, that’s at least three or four incentives, which is two or three more than most films have.
