Beauty And The Briefcase Bags February Release
After a couple of failed shots at the A list, Hilary Duff is back to her Disney family roots, playing in ABC Family’s Beauty and the Briefcase. To her credit, Duff may be the only woman in history who can play Disney-created characters better than her animated counterparts. Just kidding, the animation’s obviously better. But to her credit, look how well she did with only a Monique Lhuillier dress to help her in A Cinderella Story.
That was in 2004, and now Duff is an anorexic, faux tough chick fittingly playing the role of bubbly Lane Daniels , a journalist who has to choose between her career or love. The film is based on the novel Diary of a Working Girl by Daniella Brodsky, and in a stroke of good luck, it does feature the always-exciting Jaime Pressly in the role of Daniels’ editor. The DVD and Blu-Ray will be available for purchase on February 8th, and if the information I’ve given so far hasn’t enticed you, maybe the hot dandies I’m about to mention will. Daniel’s love interests include Matt Dallas from Kyle XY and Chris Carmack from The O.C..
Beauty and the Briefcase was nominated for a 2011 People’s Choice Award, cementing the fact the film was geared toward a younger crowd (if its ABC Family roots didn’t already tip you off). The DVD will run you $27.97 and the Blu-Ray $29.97, proving forever that kids don’t have Blu-Ray players in their bedrooms. There’s no way Dad is watching this B.S.
