Based on the press push for Bee Movie in theaters, I fully expected Jerry Seinfeld to start going door-to-door to let people know about this week’s DVD release. It turns out, I was close, although it wasn’t Jerry going around.
Instead of Seinfeld making the trip, his character from the movie, Barry, made his way around New York City this week, followed by a swarm of followers. 100 human-sized bees buzzed through New York landmarks like Times Square, Grand Central Station, and Central Park, handing out bits o’ honey and serving as a reminder of this week’s two-disc special edition DVDs (click here for details on the DVD release).
Paramount Home Entertainment sent over some time-lapse video of the swarm around New York City, which is pretty entertaining. Check out the travels of the bees through the City in just over thirty seconds below:
