Camp Out In Front Of The TV Without A Paddle

Camp Out In Front Of The TV Without A Paddle Not that we really needed a second Without A Paddle, but it’s coming. Paramount Home Entertainment brings you Without A Paddle: Nature’s Calling on DVD and Blu-ray January 13th.

We’re going back into the woods, but this time, with a new group of crazy kids. Zach (Kristopher Turner) and Ben (Oliver James) were great friends in high school, but since, have drifted apart. Now the duo is in their mid-20’s and leading separate lives; Ben buried in work at a law firm and happy-go-lucky Zach, caring for the elderly in a nursing home. When one of Zach’s patients is near death, she asks him to find her missing granddaughter so she can see her before she passes. It just so happens that this woman’s granddaughter is Heather (Madison Riley), Ben’s long lost love from high school. Now there’s no better reason for the pals to reteam in an effort to track down Heather. And where could she possibly be? In the woods trying to save the environment, of course! Zach and Ben team up with Heather’s British cousin Nigel (Rik Young) and set out on an adventure of comical hysteria.

The girl that got away, raunchy fun and drunk people; sounds like a typical teenage comedy to me. I must admit, even though I found the original film to be rather ridiculous, I watched the entire thing and actually enjoyed it. These films may fall under the guilty pleasure category, but as long as you’re enjoying the flick, what could be wrong with that?

The hilarity doesn’t even stop when the movie is over. You’ll also get three featurettes, deleted scenes and a gag reel. The gag reel is typically my favorite DVD extra, but in this case I’m most looking forward to the “Furious Nuts” featurette. It details the process of casting the perfect squirrels for the film. Maybe the sequel really will be nuttier than the original.
