I just walked out of the Joss Whedon panel at Comic Con a few minutes ago and while I don’t have time to give all the details (and this was the funniest panel I’ve seen at Comic Con thus far), there were a few new announcements related to Whedon’s three part online musical Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.
Whedon was joined on the panel by stars Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day, and Simon Helberg along with writers Jed Whedon, Zack Whedon, and Maurissa Tancharoen. Along with making fun of themselves, each other, and the audience, Whedon’s group hinted that there is a part four of the web series being planned. They also said that soundtrack to the series would be out “in a few weeks.” Finally, and most exciting for hardcore fans, the DVD will include material sent in by fans. A video contest asking people to send in three minute auditions to join the Evil League of Evil will begin soon. The ten best submissions will be included on the DVD. So start thinking up material for audition.
