Odds are, you’re never going to experience a high-speed car chase first hand. But, thanks to MGM Home Entertainment, you can get pretty close by picking up the 1998 thriller Ronin on Blu-ray February 24th.
A team of five operatives called “Ronin” are assembled and sent on a mission to ambush an armed convoy and retrieve a particular steal suitcase. Getting the case was the easy part. Now, each of these former special forces agents must elude conniving enemies and even comrades in order to make sure the contents of the case don’t fall into the wrong hands.
Yes, it may be riveting to see Ronin’s famous car chase sequence in the pristine picture offered by a Blu-ray disc, but two-time Oscar winner Robert DeNiro has a number of other films on his resume more worthy of a spot on my Blu-ray shelf. But, for those of you craving a face-paced flick loaded to the max with firearms, the $34.99 could be worth it.
