I have to admit that I have almost no knowledge of Hannah Montana. I always assumed the pop star was just the next in Disney’s line to carry the baton of characters like Lizzie McGuire and others before her. I didn’t know she was the daughter of the inventor of the “Achy Breaky Heart,” nor did I know the dual life Hannah Montana lives.

As the star has gotten more and more popular, it’s been harder to remain as ignorant about Hannah Montana, and it’s about to get even tricker, because the series that started the phenomenon is finally coming to DVD. November 17th will see the release of Hannah Montana: The Complete First Season, which will include the 26 episodes of the first season on four discs, seventeen of which have never been released on DVD before. The set will also feature a visit to Miley Cyrus’s hometown, a special performance by Hannah Montana, and a pop up trivia track on select episodes.

With all of the fuss around Hannah Montana, I’m surprised it’s taken this long for Disney to start releasing the series season-by-season. If you’re like me, check out the first season of Miley Cyrus’s spectacular show on November 17th.
