The Jim Henson Company is bringing the beloved Henson twist to an even more beloved classic children’s story. Goldilocks and the Three Bears gets the Henson makeover as the latest “Unstable Fable,” headed for DVD on December 16th.
The Weinstein Company and Genius Products are bringing Unstable Fables: Goldilocks and the Three Bears to you just in time for Christmas. The classic story is reimagined with Goldilocks as a spoiled television star who needs a reboot for her career. In order to get that new boost, Goldilocks and the three bears agree to star in a reality television series a la Big Brother, forcing bears and blonde to find a way to co-exist.
Now I’m still old school, where the name Henson means puppetry. This is a CG animated picture, however, featuring a talented vocal cast that includes Brooke Shields, Tom Arnold, and Jamie Lynn Spears. That last name would be what we call a bit of ironic casting.
The DVD includes a making-of featurette and a lesson on how to draw a character. Pick up this latest Henson Company classic on December 16th. Check out images from Unstable Fables: Goldilocks and the Three Bears as well as the cover art in the gallery below.
