This seems to be the next big thing with Paramount’s geek movies. They did it with Star Trek and now they’re doing it with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The studio is releasing a Revenge of the Fallen prequel comic which tells what happened right before the movie started, and it’s only available at Best Buy stores as part of a special retail exclusive.
The comic is being packaged with all copies of Transformers, Eagle Eye, and Disturbia being sold at Best Buy starting on June 21st. This included the new Transformers: Special Edition which goes on sale both in DVD and Blu-Ray. Basically, if it has Shia LaBeouf in it and it’s on a Best Buy shelf, it probably comes with a copy of the exclusive, prequel comic.
