Everyone loves 30 Rock. The critics love it, the general public can’t get enough of it, and, once again, The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences think it’s top notch. 30 Rock won two Emmys its first season, seven its second, five its third, and the trend will likely continue with its fourth, which kicks off on NBC October 15th. Whether you’re playing catch-up or just reliving the good times, you’ll want to drop $49.98 when 30 Rock: Season 3 hits DVD on September 22nd.
The TGS gang is back, and Liz Lemon has her hands full yet again. How can she have a personal life when she’s got to keep the show’s star, Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan), out of trouble and network executive Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) happy without getting too involved in her show? At least she has Tracy’s co-star and her good friend, Jenna (Jane Krakowski), to help her out. Well, actually Jenna is a bit of a handful herself, but Liz can always count on her trusty NBC page, Kenneth (Jack McBrayer). Do I even need to convince you that a show that was nominated for 22 Primetime Emmy Awards and won five is worth buying on DVD? I hope not. I jumped on the 30 Rock bandwagon a little late, but am actually thankful I did so. I don’t know if I’d be okay waiting a whole week for another episode! The show is addicting. It’s hilarious, endearing, and the perfect way to get a quick laugh. The bonus material is sure to be as entertaining as the show. In addition to all 22 episodes of the season, you get deleted scenes; commentary by Fey, Jon Hamm, Alan Alda, McBrayer, Krakowski, and more; “Behind-the-Scenes with the Muppets”; “1-900-OKFACE”; “Season Finale Table Read”; “Making Of: ‘He Needs A Kidney’”; and a photo gallery. |
