So goes the plot of M. Night Shyamalan’s latest story, Lady in the Water which Warner Brothers has announced is coming to DVD on December 19th. Although Shyamalan isn’t usually tight with the extras, this is the writer/director/actor’s first excursion with the Warners (after his split with Disney over this movie) so things are a little different.
Although there is no childhood movie offering from Shyamalan, the extras aren’t lacking. Among those announced:
Additional Scenes
”Reflections of Lady in the Water” – a six part documentary
Audition footage
Gag reel
I must admit, Night lost me as a devoted fan with The Village and sadly that trend continues with Lady… at least based on my initial viewing. I’m not sure I’ll give the film a second chance, but the documentary might get me interested enough to give the DVD a once over. Check back closer to December 19th for our DVD review!
