No matter how good the press was surrounding the movie, I just couldn’t make myself go see Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium in theatres. Conceptually it’s just too similar to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which has had both good and not so good movie adaptations made already. Why would I want to see a Willy Wonka substitute? How about because the movie actually got some positive reviews.

If you were like me and missed Magorium in theaters, now’s your chance to make up for it. Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium comes to DVD and Blu-ray on March 4th from 20th Century Fox. For a magical movie, the disc seems a little light on bonus materials. For one, there’s only four featurettes, with no commentary tracks, deleted scenes, outtakes, or anything like that.
