No Extra Performances In Vince Vaughn's Wild West ComedyAuthor: Rafe Telsch

Typically I like to see DVD releases of stand-up comedians because we’ll frequently get added footage - usually material that wasn’t suitable for TV (or movies). That isn’t the case with the upcoming lengthy-titled Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days & 30 Nights – Hollywood to the Heartland, which features a road tour of four comedians hand picked by actor Vince Vaughn. While the June 3rd DVD release does contain some bonus material, deleted material isn’t among it.
Instead of additional footage, the disc will carry two commentary tracks – an odd thing to have on stand-up material (how much insight can someone really give about the development of a joke without removing all of the humor?). Vaughn and co-producer Peter Billingsley offer one commentary, which I can understand. After all, as the producers they can explain why these comedians were picked. The second one features the comedians themselves, Ahmed Ahmed, John Caparulo, Bret Ernst and Sebastian Maniscalco, which sounds less interesting to me. Despite the odd selection of bonus material, our theatrical review is positive enough to make me want to check out the flick just to see the performances. Here’s a look at what has been announced for the DVD’s June 3rd release:
