You know when you’re compelled to buy something just because it’s inexpensive? Well, that’s kind of like Pale Force on DVD. It’s really not a necessity, but it’s kind of funny and only costs $14.95.

Pale Force is the series of animated shorts shown on Late Night with Conan O’Brien featuring the voice of comedian and actor Jim Gaffigan. O’Brien and Gaffigan are Pale Force, a crimefighting team that happens to be extremely pale. O’Brien may not be as buff as his partner, but both have the ability to shoot lasers out of their nipples. Together they fight their archenemy, Lady Bronze (Eartha Kitt). Notable episodes include "Pale Imposter," during which Philip Seymour Hoffman imitates Jim, and "Miss Massachusetts," about the Miss Pale American pageant.

Yes, it’s as ridiculous as it sounds but fairly enjoyable. The DVD comes with all 33 episodes, as well as Gaffigan’s appearance on Late Night and a making-of featurette. The power of the Pale Force hits DVD on November 17th.
