Kurt Russell, Josh Lucas, Richard Dreyfuss, and Emmy Rossum flip onto DVD later this month in Wolfgang Petersen’s Poseidon, a remake of the classic 1972 Irwin Allen film. Although Poseidon didn’t fare as well as hoped during the early days of summer, Warner Brothers is releasing the DVD before the summer is officially over in another attempt to get the film noticed.

While the movie received lackluster reviews from the critics, most of them agreed the movie’s special effects were impressive, making Poseidon one of those movies I’m looking forward to checking out in my home theater.
