While the Star Trek movie has a lot of people excited, the truth is that its star, Chris Pine, is a largely untested commodity. Aside from his role in Smokin’ Aces, which made it hard to pick anyone out from the packed cast, Pine’s movies have flown under the radar. However, now that the star’s name is on the rise, his previous movies are getting a bit more attention.

Blind Dating, heading for DVD on February 5th, stars Chris Pine as Danny, a young blind man who is both physically blind as well as blind to how wild women get around him – including his therapist (Jane Seymour). After Danny is set up on blind dates by his brother (Eddie Kaye Thomas), he falls for an Indian woman (Anjall Jay). Unfortunately, she’s already been promised to another man (Heroes’s Sendhill Ramamurthy). Can Danny prove to her that love is more than meets the eye? (paraphrased from the press release so blame them for all the bad vision puns)

Although the plot sounds a bit contrived, this is a chance to see Chris Pine at work prior to the release of Star Trek later this year.
