Every once in a while I get a press announcement for a DVD that I have to run because the basic idea of the movie just leaves me speechless. The Adventures of the Blue Collar Treatment is definitely one of those movies; a full-length animated film from the mind of Snoop Dogg.

Now, I’m not going to pretend that I’m a huge hip-hop fan, because I’m not. I do enjoy Snoop Dogg’s theatrical side though. His appearance on Monk is one of my favorite episodes, and he’s brought his laid back attitude to several movies with pretty good results. I just can’t imagine what a “psychedelic stream-of-consciousness trip” through his “magical mind” might be like.

The DVD release of The Adventures of the Blue Collar Treatment hits stores on June 24th and features the vocal talents of Snoop Dogg and a number of hip hop’s biggest stars, including E-40, The Game, Nate Dogg, and Kurupt and B-Real (Cypress Hill), as well as comedians Mike Epps and Katt Williams.
