CJ7 comes to DVD and Blu-ray this week, and I hope it gets better reception there then it did on its limited theatrical run. I really enjoyed Stephen Chow’s Kung Fu Hustle and the idea of him doing a sci-fi comedy really appeals to me. Since it had such a small theatrical run, I missed the chance to see it until now, so tomorrow will definitely include a run to the video store to pick up a copy.

To tide you over until you get the DVD, Sony has been kind enough to send over a few video clips from the movie and the DVD. Below you’ll find the theatrical trailer, three clips from the movie, and two looks at one of the DVD’s special features, “The Story of CJ7”.

Stephen Chow's CJ7 tells the story of a poor construction worker who is trying hard to give his son a good life. While trying to get his son a new toy, he finds a mysterious orb from another planet that has the chance to turn their lives completely around.
