The battle for your on-demand video dollar continues. Wal-Mart's entry into the race is its Vudu service, which allows you to choose from a large catalogue of high-def new releases and shows to rent or own. Now, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Vudu is expanding its selection of TV content with the first seasons of hit shows Glee and Modern Family.

Each episode will run you $1.99, which is a little cheaper than iTunes' $2.99 price point but right on par with Amazon's offerings. Whether this pay-per-episode model will eventually be able to dethrone Netflix and Hulu remains to be seen. It's easy to forget that you're paying a monthly fee when you just push a button and it gives you content without any fuss, and that psychological advantage is a strong one in my experience.

Vudu hasn't limited its TV offerings simply to showtunes and familial misunderstandings, either. The service also offers multiple seasons of shows such as Bones, Weeds, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, and The Walking Dead. And you don't even have to deal with any of these people to access them!
