Rumors were swirling a month or so back about a November release date for the collector's edition of Avatar. Today we can put the speculation aside, because Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has officially announced a November 16th North American release date for the Avatar (Extended Collector's Edition).

As reported before, the set will include a new extended cut of the film and over 45 minutes of deleted scenes alongside tons of other extras. It'll be arriving as both a three-disc Blu-ray set and a special edition re-release DVD. We've got the full specs below, plus a snazzy beauty shot of the set that you can click on to embiggen.
