You may have guessed from that headline up there that I wasn't a big fan of Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe's attempt to Batman Begins the legend of Robin Hood. (Nor, for that matter, was Katey.) By the time the Lost Boys showed up on tiny little horses during the final battle, I was just happy that at least something was happening. Hell, if the entire movie had been as deranged and illogical as that one moment, Robin Hood would have been a lot more entertaining. Instead all we got was two and a half hours of stuff that happened before any of the stuff we actually give a shit about. When the last five minutes of your movie really should have been the first five minutes, you're in trouble.
Still, the flick made $300 million worldwide, so chances are at least some of those people are going to want to buy it. Those people will only have to wait until September 21st to pick it up on Blu-ray and DVD. On the upside, the release will include an unrated director's cut, which if we're lucky will be shot from an entirely different script, or maybe will be a copy of Prince of Thieves with the serial numbers filed off.
