Pick Of The Week: Bolt!Author: Rafe Telsch

This is definitely a week for the kids, with Disney, Dreamworks, and even Sesame Street putting out child-friendly releases. You’ve got the good (Follow that Bird is kind of fun), the bad (Star Wars: Clone Wars isn’t any better as a series than it was as a movie), and the mediocre (I still don’t care for Lilo & Stitch). Above it all, however, rises one champion: Bolt.
Yes, you’ve read us celebrating Disney’s most recent non-Pixar release since it was in theaters, now we’re giving it accolades as it comes out on DVD and Blu-ray. The release may not be perfect. The accompanying animated short “Super Rhino” isn’t as spectacular as other Disney shorts (although I still think it blows away Kung Fu Panda’s secondary tale Secrets of the Furious Five, which also comes to DVD independent of the main movie this week) and the content is a little light, but the movie is just too awesome to ignore. Check out Bolt and see Disney return to classic form, without Pixar’s help. Pick of the Week: Bolt - Single-Disc DVD Other March 24th releases: And on Blu-ray: |
